Cement, a powdery hydraulic inorganic cementitious material. After mixing with water, the slurry can harden in air or better in water, and can firmly bond materials such as sand and stone together. For a long time, it has been widely used as an important cementitious material in civil engineering, water conservancy, national defense, and other projects. According to different classification methods, cement can be divided into the following types:
1、 Classified by purpose and performance:
(1) Special cement: Cement for specific purposes. For example: G-grade oil well cement, road Portland cement;
(2) Characteristic cement: A type of cement with outstanding properties. For example, rapid hardening Portland cement, low heat slag Portland cement, expanded sulphoaluminate cement, phosphonenenebb aluminate cement and phosphate cement;
(3) General cement: Cement commonly used in general civil and construction engineering. General cement mainly refers to six categories of cement specified in GB175-2007, namely Portland cement, ordinary Portland cement, slag Portland cement, pozzolanic Portland cement, fly ash Portland cement and composite Portland cement.
2、 Classified by the name of the main hydraulic substances:
(1) Portland cement, commonly known as Portland cement abroad;
(2) Aluminate cement;
(3) Sulphoaluminate cement;
(4) Ferro aluminate cement;
(5) Fluoroaluminate cement;
(6) Phosphate cement;
(7) Cement mainly composed of volcanic ash or potentially hydraulic materials and other active materials.
3、 Classified by main technical characteristics:
(1) Heat of hydration: divided into two types: medium heat and low heat;
(2) Fast hardening (hydraulic hardening): divided into two categories: fast hardening and super fast hardening;
(3) Expansibility: divided into two categories: expansion and self stress;
(4) Sulfate resistance: divided into two categories: medium resistance to sulfate corrosion and high resistance to sulfate corrosion;
(5) High temperature resistance: the high temperature resistance of aluminate cement is graded according to the alumina content in cement.
Cement is an important building material, and mortar or concrete made of cement is sturdy and durable, widely used in civil engineering, water conservancy, national defense, and other projects. Classify cement well to facilitate our better selection of suitable cement types.
